RRB ALP 2026 के लिए candidates की age 18 से 30 वर्ष के बीच होनी चाहिए, जो 01 July 2026 को calculate की जाएगी। SC और ST candidates को 5 साल की relaxation मिलती है यानी maximum age 35 वर्ष होगी। OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates के लिए 3 साल की relaxation है जिससे maximum age 33 वर्ष हो जाती है। Ex-Servicemen और serving Railway staff के लिए अलग relaxation rules हैं जो official notification में विस्तार से दिए गए हैं।

Educational Qualification (शैक्षणिक योग्यता)

इस recruitment के लिए दो options उपलब्ध हैं। पहला option - Matriculation/SSLC के साथ NCVT/SCVT से recognized ITI in relevant trades जैसे Fitter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Instrument Mechanic आदि। दूसरा option - Matriculation/SSLC के साथ Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics या Automobile Engineering में 3-year Diploma या Degree किसी recognized institution से। ध्यान रहे कि जो candidates अपनी final exam का result await कर रहे हैं वे apply करने के eligible नहीं हैं। साथ ही जिन candidates ने Lasik Surgery या कोई भी corrective eye surgery करवाई है, वे ALP post के लिए eligible नहीं हैं क्योंकि इस post के लिए Medical Standard A-1 required है।

RRB ALP 2026 का selection process पाँच stages में होगा। पहले stage में CBT-1 होगा जो कि 75 marks का screening test है - इसके marks final merit में नहीं जुड़ते। CBT-1 में qualify होने वाले candidates को CBT-2 के लिए बुलाया जाएगा जिसमें Part-A (100 marks, competitive) और Part-B (75 marks, qualifying only) होंगे। CBT-2 के Part-A में top performers को CBAT (Computer Based Aptitude Test) देना होगा जिसमें हर test battery में minimum T-score 42 लाना अनिवार्य है। Final merit list CBT-2 Part-A के 50% marks और CBAT के 50% marks से बनेगी। अंत में Document Verification और Medical Examination (Standard A-1) होगी। CBT-1 और CBT-2 दोनों में negative marking 1/3 mark per wrong answer है, लेकिन CBAT में कोई negative marking नहीं है।
